Project:
AROH Clinic
Project Description:
A rural clinic for Aim for the Restorarion of Hope, a charity in Uganda. Currently under construction, the facility will be staffed by "Doctors without Frontiers" and willl serve an orphanage and local village, by providing counseling and medical care for infectious diseases and AIDS or HIV. The clinic also has an "ovenight stay" component, or triage for critically ill patients so they can be stabilizedd before being transported to a larger medical facility 50 miles away. The project was designed taking into consideration local climatoloty, construction methods and spatial organization, to achieve a familiar environment with natural daylight, generous shading, on-site generated electricity and a water reclamation system to ensure its sustainability and long-term feasibilty to a community neglected for generations.
